North Carolina will have a sales tax holiday for ENERGY STAR home
appliances from Friday, Nov 7, through Sunday, Nov 9. This holiday
covers E-STAR clothes washers, freezers, refrigerators, central air
conditioners, room air conditioners, air-source heat pumps, geothermal
heat pumps, ceiling fans, dehumidifiers, and programmable thermostats.

Please note: Qualifying ENERGY STAR products purchased by contractors
who will install the products in structures for customers will still
be taxed, even if purchased during the holiday. The sales tax holiday
applies to customer purchases from a retailer for immediate delivery.
